Estimados colegas,
A sólo dos días de mi último mensaje, la situación ha dado ya un vuelco con las nuevas medidas anunciadas ayer por el Gobierno de España restringiendo todo tipo de actividad salvo servicios esenciales. El IAC como Administrador del Observatorio ha elaborado normas, que equivalen a un cierre casi total del ORM.
Así que, a partir de ahora y como mínimo hasta el 9 de abril inclusive:
- ORM: se siguen los checklists en Site Closure Checklists (link en espacio ING-Internal).
- Planta LN2: se apaga lunes 30 marzo, haciéndose una última entrega a GTC.
- Generadores: se mantienen en disponibilidad.
- Se mantienen una o dos visitas a la semana para verificación, mantenimiento y seguridad de servicios esenciales (electricidad, UPS, servicios informáticos), según necesidad. Coordinadas por Juerg y Don.
- Informarles que la Residencia cierra, dejando sólamente un servicio privado de seguridad.
- Informarles asimismo que las subidas al ORM, cuando se hagan, se harán en convoy con otros vehículos de otros telescopios, con punto de encuentro 8:30 Mirca.
- SLO: se siguen los checklists en Site Closure Checklists
- Se cierra SLO totalmente al acceso del personal, salvo para mantenimiento de servicios esenciales (electricidad, UPS, servicios informáticos), según necesidad. Coordinadas por Juanjo y Don.
- Permisos para ir a las sedes del ING por motivos de trabajo:
- Todos los permisos expedidos hasta hoy quedan revocados. Juanjo va a proporcionar nuevas autorizaciones que mencionan el trabajo en sistemas esenciales.
En resumen, poco cambia para el ING, pero cerramos el acceso al SLO. Sigamos en la rutina ya inciada trabajando desde casa, les animo a que busquen lados positivos de la situación, y comuniquen con compañeros o jefe inmediato de cualquier problema que se presente.

It's been two days since my previous message, and the situation has gone through another change with the measures announced by the Spanish Government, that prevent all types of activity except for essential services. The IAC, Administrator of the Observatory, has distributed new rules that imply a nearly full closure of ORM.
Therefore, from now and until, at least, 9th April (inclusive):
- ORM: we ensure we have followed theSite Closure Checklists (link in ING-Internal space).
- LN2 plant: we switch it off Monday 30th March, with one last delivery to GTC.
- Generators: keep in working order.
- We plan for one or two visits per week for verification, maintenance and security of essential services (electricity, UPS, IT infrastructure), as needed. These will be coordinated by Juerg and Don.
- FYI, the Residencia will close down and have private security.
- Trips to ORM will have to be coordinated with ORM with convoys meeting at 8:30 at Mirca.
- SLO: we ensure we have followed theSite Closure Checklists
- SLO will remain fully closed to ING personnel, except for the maintenance of essential services (electricity, UPS, IT infrastructure), as needed. These will be coordinated by Juanjo and Don.
- ING permits to go to ING sites:
- All permits issued up to today have been revoqued. Juanjo will provide new authorisations that mention the need to work on essential services.
In summary, little changes for ING, except that access to SLO is not allowed under any circumstance that is not related to maintenance of essential services.
I would like to encourage all to continue our routine of working from home, find those bits of positive angles to the situation, and stay in contact, with colleagues and line manager as soon as problems appear.
